Cutest Jack Russell puppy photo session in Orlando, FL

Central Florida Dog Photography

Meet Cooper. A super cute Jack Russell puppy from Orlando.

When my friend Wendy posted his first picture on facebook, I knew I had to photograph him. I mean, seriously. Look at this face! This is quite possibly the most adorable Jack Russell puppy I have ever seen in person.

I’m normally on the ground a lot for my photo shoots but this guy was only about 6 inches off the ground which made for some unique positioning on my part!Jack_russell_photography_hiding_in_grassOutdoor_pet_photography_jack_russell_terrier_Orlandosmug_jack_russell_orlando_photo_shoot

Once we were done with our walk, we headed back to the house where Cooper enjoyed some time in the yard, playing with his big brother Remington. Remington was also just a puppy the last time I visited him! I couldn’t believe how big he’d gotten and just how tiny Cooper looked next to him. They are two peas in a pod and just the best of friends! Black_lab_and_jack_russell_puppy_Orlando

Aussie mix puppy session in Baldwin Park, FL

central florida dog photography

Meet Leo.

He is an Aussie mix and our session took place at a quaint little grassy area in Baldwin Park. He is a rescue pup who’s litter was set to be euthanized until his Mom came along to rescue him! What a sweet face and an even more spunky personality.

It was a gorgeous morning and we couldn’t have asked for better light. Even at just a few months old, Leo seemed to know just where to sit and pose in the streaming Florida sunshine! But as with most puppies, these moments were fleeting and off he ran to find other things to do.

See what he’s doing here? You can’t quite tell but 3 seconds from when this photo was taken, up pops his mouth full of pieces of grass. Yup, he was tearing out this nicely manicured strip of grass right down the middle of a lovely pathway. I guess the ball just wasn’t entertaining enough! Silly pup.

Playing “king of mountain” was the highlight of his morning as he strolled along this brick wall. We tried to get him to sit but he insisted on this pose, claiming he looked more noble. Indeed, Leo, indeed.

Little Leo, you made my heart smile in a way that only a puppy can. Ask your Mom for some puppy treats so you can leave the grass chewing to the cows!

Got a funny story to share about your puppy? What’s the craziest thing they have gotten themselves into? Comment below!

If you’d like to capture your puppy or grown up pup doing his silly thing, be sure to give me a call.

Wheaten Terrier Dog Photo Session | Palm Coast, FL

Meet Curly.

Curly is a beautiful Wheaten Terrier with soft, fluffy fur and a super sweet personality to match. After a few moments with him, I could just tell he is a perfect companion for just simply enjoying the days together.  This little guy was as relaxed as could be while I was there but never more than a few feet away from his mom. We had a great time chatting it up while I learned about Curly and how he has very specific spots that are “his”. Here is Curly, under the dining room chair. He often lays here while Mom enjoys a meal, always hopeful that a few morsels will make their way down to him. Not only is he nearby, Curly has decided to be a mindful watchdog as well and positions himself so he faces the front door to watch for any visitors.

When dinner time is over, Curly and Mom make their way to their favorite spot in the living room. Curly takes a minute to walk in a circle or two before laying down at Mom’s feet while she tends to activities in her favorite chair. Curly knows this is the optimal spot for a snooze as he is close to Mom but never misses an opportunity to sit up and enjoy a few head scratches. I know Curly and Mom have shared many hours together like this, at ease, reveling in each other’s company.

When Mom and Curly aren’t snuggled up in front of the TV together in the chair or on the couch, they like to enjoy the beautiful Florida weather together lounging by the pool or finding a cool spot in the shade to relax. Not too many moments pass before another head pat or belly rub are appreciated by this loving pup.

They are a perfect pair.

Dog trio lifestyle in-home family session | Orlando, FL

Central Florida dog photography_Jamie

Meet Papi, Macho, and Elvis.

Not too long ago, Elvis the pug welcomed his two new brothers, Papi and Macho, into his family. Sometimes he’s not too sure but for the most part, he enjoys their company. Macho and Papi are chihuahua puppies and are still learning their way around and what is (and isn’t!) allowed in the house! I have a feeling these 3 will quickly become life-long friends anyway.

There’s definitely a lot of love between these two new puppies, Elvis, and the family as a whole.

Summer Sessions | Winter Park, FL Pet Photography {Dogs}

Storyboard of dock diving dogs in action at Fleet Peeples Park!

I first met dogs Shelby and Bella at their home on the pond in Winter Park. When we met, they were of course excited as dogs always are to meet new people – tail wagging, lots of sniffing, etc. Add to that, they had just returned home from the pet store where Mom takes them to pick out treats and goodies. They were energetic and ready to play! We played a few games of tug-of-war, a few rounds of toss the tennis ball (Mom even had a tennis ball tosser because these pups LOVED the thrill of the chase!) and as they settled down, we took a few photos of them just relaxing with Mom in the backyard. Our next stop was Fleet Peeples Park in Winter Park, where Mom told me they love to hang out, swim, and sometimes even dive off the dock! 2 family dogs, relaxing on the lake with their momSister dogs enjoying the outdoorsBeautiful Shelby, posing for the camera in her backyardWhen we arrived at the park, it was as if they were in their home away from home. They took off exploring their favorite trees, likely looking for any familiar doggy face to romp around with. Shelby was a bit more reserved and didn’t stray too far from Mom, but as we approached the water, there was no holding back! They jumped in and began to swim. The day was a bit overcast and it had rained even earlier that day, but gloomy weather did not stop these two. In and out of the water, dripping wet, shaking everywhere – clearly enjoying themselves with no regard to my camera equipment!

Time after time, they ran to end of the dock and off they jumped! I’ve seen dogs who love the water before but nothing like these two. They had no fear, jumping in, waiting for one another as they dove. It was really great to see the connection these two shared in and out of the water. What a joyful morning we had! Bella & Shelby, dock diving dogs, taking a rest on the dockDog poised to jump for a tennis ball at Fleet Peeples ParkAthletic dog jumping for a tennis ball at Fleet Peeples Park
